I started making these pieces in the Summer of 2009, inspired in part by a local Andersonville artist who made art of wood from old Chicago porches.
My art pieces are made out of old weathered wood from an old farm wagon on my parent's farm in north-east Wisconsin.
There is alot a variation and texture in these old woods pieces, which makes each one a very unique piece of art.
Some pieces are framed or matted with precision laser-cut, brushed stainless steel from a local metal fabrication shop.
Some are framed with custom-made solid Mahogany wood. They are very versatile and can be a nice addition to a modern or traditional decor.
Here are some pictures of the old wagon.
